What’s the Cinch…with Holiday Shipping Deadlines

Cinch is here to make sure your gifts arrive on time this holiday season! To guarantee delivery by Christmas, here are the USPS cutoff dates for domestic shipping within the contiguous United States:

• USPS Ground Advantage: Ship by December 18 for delivery by December 25.

• First-Class Mail: Send it by December 18 to ensure it arrives in time.

• Priority Mail: Make sure your packages are out the door by December 19.

• Priority Mail Express: Last-minute shoppers, you have until December 21 for those urgent, gotta-get-there gifts!

For Alaska and Hawaii, the deadlines differ slightly:

• Ground Advantage: December 16

• First-Class and Priority Mail: December 18-19

• Priority Mail Express: December 20

Planning ahead is your best bet, but if you’re a procrastinator, Priority Mail Express is here to save the day right up to December 21 for the Lower 48​.

USPS Holiday Rate Adjustments

From October 6, 2024, through January 19, 2025, USPS has implemented temporary holiday rate increases to help manage the busy season:

• Priority Mail and USPS Ground Advantage: Packages going to Zones 1-4 have a surcharge of $0.40 to $4.00, while Zones 5-9 see increases from $0.50 to $8.50, depending on weight.

• Priority Mail Express: Rates rise by $1.10 to $16.00 depending on the package’s destination and weight​
